3 Days and Counting.....

With a few more days of preparations we are almost ready to depart on Friday.  With the recent violent xenophobic attacks in Johannesburg a few weeks ago, we are eager to talk to Zimbabwe refugees and to hear their stories. 

The residents of Johannesburg have been violent towards Zimbabwean refugees because they believe the Zimbabweans are stealing their jobs.  The border of Zimbabwe and South Africa aren't patrolled too well because many refugees that are taken back to Zimbabwe cross back along the border until they are caught.  This project will open our eyes to a new culture and tell these stories through our eyes.
